Jaron And The Long Road To Love currently has a Top 20 country hit with his song "Pray For You," but there was actually a time where Jaron had mainstream success as the duo Evan & Jaron. Jaron explains what made him gear toward the country route:

"I didn't set out to country, you know? I did not. I've always been a country music fan. But I listen to all genres. I say I'm influenced by the legends of country but John Legend too, you know? And I think that any artist in country [that] is telling you that they're also not influenced by 10 genres is lying. Every country tour bus I've been on has got Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Eagles, Billy Joel and other genres...even Garth Brooks is, like...his dream is to be Billy Joel. But most of the people we aspire to be - that I grew up [with] - same way with Garth – those idols would all be country today."
