This Memorial Day weekend there is no doubt that Dierks Bentley is thinking about our troops in the Middle East and around the world. Not a show goes by where Dierks doesn't pay tribute to those serving our country by performing his song "Long Trip Alone," which he dedicates to our men and women in the military each evening. Dierks shares that he has a close friend who is stationed in Afghanistan right now:
"Yeah, I think about those folks all the time. I've got friends over there still. Got a good buddy that just went back. He just had a kid and he's my age, 35, you know, trying to start a life and he keeps getting called back, and he does it with pride never complains. He always send me updates. He'll always wish that he could write more than he can except everything's kind of censored. But it's a crazy thing going on. I don't know how it ends - ever, really."
