Cindy Crawford, who has been called one of the first "supermodels", shared her excitement for the New Year. Posting a new picture online Monday, she shared a photograph of her popping champagne in front of the Hollywood sign. The perfect moment was shot by famous photographer Terry Richardson.

“Happy New Year! We're popping champagne tonight although it probably won't be as fun as this shoot with @Terry_World,” tweeted Cindy Crawford from her official Twitter account on Monday. The entertainer had two poses, both with a big bottle of champagne and a sexy mini dress celebrating her success.

Some criticized the photo, suggesting that Crawford came off as "desperate."

"It doesn't work and seems a bit desperate. I give her a lot of credit. She is still very pretty. But she can't pull this off without it looking just a bit sad," one user prompted on the Daily Mail blog.

"Please Cindy you do not need to do this!" another user prompted.

I'm not sure what there is to criticize about the photos?  I don't think she looks sad or desperate.  What do you think?
