Our new Miss America,  Mallory Hagan who is Miss New York, was crowned Saturday night (1/12) in Las Vegas.

The 23-year-old contestant from Brooklyn, whose talent was tap dancing, beat out finalists, Miss South Carolina, Ali Rogers, and Miss Oklahoma, Alicia Clifton, who finished second and third, respectively. Aside from her crown, she receives a 50-thousand-dollar college scholarship.
