Is Denzel Washington your favorite movie actor?  There is a good chance he is because according to new Harris Poll he is named as America's favorite for 2012 followed by Clint Eastwood and Tom Hanks!  Johnny Depp, who ruled the 2011 edition of the poll, fell to fourth place.

Eastwood was tops among male voters and Republican voters, while Washington was the favorite among female voters and Democrat voters. It's not surprising that Eastwood was the choice of Republicans, since he delivered his infamous "empty chair" speech at the Republican National Convention last year.

Harris Interactive surveyed more than two thousand adults between December 12 and 18 to compile its list.

Here are the top 10 favorite movie stars, according to the poll:

8. Harrison Ford

Denzel is pretty awesome, I'd agree.  The list is quite solid though I'm wondering where Sandra Bullock, Julia Roberts and Reese Witherspoon are?
