Alright so this 'Sqor' site (no u after the q is a cowboy move and a half gotta kind of respect it) struck again with Favre's first video following the news yesterday of his impending return to L-l-l-l-l-l-l-l Lambeau next season. From what I can gather this site essentially let's you follow your favorite teams and athletes and the breaking news that surrounds them (double cowboy move inventing something that's been invented and acting like it's a new idea....again, respect). But in order to get people to their site they've signed a few athletes to make homemade videos that are available only on Sqor. Pretty savvy marketing move. Not a savvy marketing move is hiring a guy like Brett Favre, an aging retired quarterback with no sense of social media (or framing apparently), instead of doling out cash for a guy like Johnny Manziel.
This is the second video he's done for them (he did an NFL mock draft video where he basically said that Jadaveon Clowney and Johnny Manziel would get drafted at some point) and it is equally as weird as the first. Honestly these things look like they were shot using the Al Queda School of Videotaping. Just Favre hunkered down in his home base with no rhyme or reason to the location. Wouldn't shock me if this was actually a VHS tape he left in an unmarked envelope at Sqor headquarters. I will say I love the fact that he is in the middle of an arm day sesh at his home gym. Kind of reminds me of Ron Burgundy from Anchorman. 'Four thousand two....ahhhhh....oh I didn't see you there, I wasn't expecting company, just doing my workout, Monday's arms and back...' Anyway I think the message was heartfelt just a weird way to deliver it. Ah well I'm sure he's obligated to make a minimum amount of videos for this site and they're obligated to give him a certain amount of paychecks. Luckily for both, my guess is neither will have to worry about it for very long.
PS: So I did a little more clicking on Sqor and decided to go to Brett's athlete feed. Yikes. Brett Favre Sqor fever, catch it!
Double PS: I don't know why but this what I envisioned happening during his first attempt.
