Jeremy Schaap reporting live on the arrest of Aaron Rodgers for murder. Wait what?

by Jon Henseler

H-E-R-N-A-N-D-E-Z, R-O-D-G-E-R-S, eh, 6 of one half dozen of the other really. Like are we going to get hung up on semantics here or what? And A-Rod was none to happy either, he simply tweeted 'Not funny ESPN.' Boom, 15 characters of unadulterated disappointment. And in typical ESPN fashion Schaap responded by saying 'funny, no. But I did correct myself, which of course the clip doesn't include.' Ummmm Jeremy, my man, we all make mistakes, but maybe just throw an apology out there? Typical ESPN though. So I accidentally implied you murdered a guy, BFD am I right?! Just further proof of why I can't wait for this Fox Sports 1 channel to debut in August. ESPN has become insufferable in recent years. Bloviating about Tim Tebow, comparing LeBron to Jordan, Skip Bayless saying something borderline racist and TJ Quinn trying to ruin Ryan Braun's life. Bingo bango that's a day in the life of ESPN. SVP and Russillo and John Clayton are about the only redeeming qualities of that network at this point. And the 'This is Sportscenter' commercials.

*To say I'm excited about this would be an understatement. I don't know if anyone remembers but I blogged about those two Canadian TSN anchors a few years back and how I was shocked they weren't on ESPN in the States yet. Well Fox1 signed them. Plus they've got Charissa Thompson, Erin Andrews and Molly McGrath. An army of hot women and two funny Canadians? Game on ESPN.
