Mike McCarthy soundbite of 'let's go bomb Chicago' goes viral and it is hilarious.

I don't know why but the 'let's go bomb Chicago' line had me dying this morning. Like Jimmy Fallon in the middle of every sketch he ever did on SNL dying. I probably played it two thousand times today and it makes me laugh every single time. Don't tell Mike McCarthy it's only July! Suns out guns out!

Now of course the Internet Fun Police (like the gestapo only with less of a sense of humor) are out in force condemning McCarthy for 'insensitive' remarks and 'promoting' violence. Calm down you idiots. It was obviously tongue in cheek. I'm 92% sure McCarthy was not actually suggesting that we start bombing Chicago. It's not like he was writing the script for The Great Fire 2: Electric Boogaloo. He was just having some fun at Chicago's expense. I will say that I love the reaction of a few Chicago residents on comment boards though. 'As long as it's on the South Side I'm pretty sure no one will care.' True story. I've been in Chicago many times in my life and if we're being honest the North side of the city is actually pretty nice. Minus the Cubs and Bears fans, traffic, pollution, and people. Take those away and it's a modern day Xanadu.

PS: If there isn't a shirt made with Aaron Rodgers throwing a 'bomb' touchdown pass to Randall Cobb in the season finale last year with 'Let's go bomb Chicago' written in smoke behind the 'bomb' then it's a complete misplay. In fact I even created the prototype in Paint. You're welcome Jerkass Tees.

Double PS: Bombs away.
