(I guess if flame resistant knockoff Ed Hardy shirts are art then he's at least somewhat accurate)
Look obviously one of the major story-lines for the Crew outside of Hank the Dog is going to be how Ryan Braun performs this year as he returns to action after a 65 game suspension for PED use and because Bud Selig is a Jewish anti-Semite. And another part of that plot is the subplot of how he will react to the increased boo-ing (I was saying boo-urns) and trash talk he'll hear at away stadiums all year. Well to say he addressed how he'll handle that is an understatement:
"I'm one of the league leaders in confidence,'' Braun told USA Today. "If I perform like I've always done, I'll be one of the best players in this game. I don't need any added motivation of drama at work. I'll just let my work speak for itself, as every artist should.''
See guys! Don't worry about it. Braunie is an artist. You think he's going to let a little extra verbal jousting affect his masterpiece? For sure not. And if you do then you don't know a thing about artists like me and Braunie. We're not going to let a little thing like trash talk or the fact that we are hemorrhaging money due to lack of web hits scale back our craft. Nope nope nope. It's like The Fly episode of Breaking Bad. Once you let something from the outside in, if poisons the whole batch. So whether your art is home runs, internet tough guying or crystal meth, you've got to keep a clear head and motivate yourself.
PS: In all seriousness I'm sort of happy to see Braun go full heel. I've said it from the beginning of this fiasco, embrace bad guy role. Razor Ramon intro music should be his at bat music and after every home run he hits at Miller Park they should play the 'this is art, get it?' clip from Ted.
Double PS: Braun, douchebag jar, stat.
