Sheboygan, Wis. (WHBL) - Sheboygan residents are going to have to change the way they handle old electronics as Wisconsin’s electronics recycling law goes into effect Wednesday. The law bans certain electronics from Wisconsin landfills and incinerators. There are 5 collection sites listed on the DNR’s website where you can bring electronics to recycle. Best Buy in Kohler takes most electronics, although nothing with Freon. If it has any sort of screen it will cost you $10, although you’ll get a $10 Best Buy gift card in-store. Milwaukee PC on 8th street in Sheboygan will handle any sort of computer waste from PC’s and monitors, printers and peripherals. The town of Holland will collect e-waste from residents living in the town of Holland only, and there is a fee to dispose of waste. Veolia and Goodwill are also listed as e-cycle sites.
