OSHKOSH, Wis. (WTAQ) - The infamous billboard in Oshkosh that used to say “Impeach Obama” is now telling voters to remove career politicians in November. An unnamed group of small business owners is renting the Highway 41 billboard for another 5 months. The “Impeach Obama” message was up for about a month when it was replaced by the following – “Washington D.C. is a cesspool of corruption and liars. On November 2nd, all career politicians must be defeated.”
Menasha attorney Thomas Wroblewski signed the contract for the billboard – and he would not discuss the change because of what he called ethical obligations to his client. Wroblewski and his son have been taking heat for the billboard, since the business owners who paid for it were never identified. Jones Sign, which owns the billboard, repeated that it has nothing to do with the message. The “Impeach Obama” billboard got national publicity, and it spurred a debate over anonymous free speech. About 60,000 drivers and their passengers see it every day.
