Sheboygan, Wis.(WHBL) -  A 52 year old Two Rivers man was shot and killed by Sheboygan Police during a routine traffic stop in the city of Sheboygan early this morning.  Chief Chris Domagalski stated during a news conference this morning that the 30 year old officer, a 7 year veteran of the department, stopped a car for speeding at 17th and Michigan Avenue about 1:30 this morning.  The Two Rivers man got out of the car and wouldn’t cooperate with the officer.  He pulled out a handgun and was tased, but it had no effect.  Domagalski said he then began threatening the officer with the handgun and that's when the officer fired two shots, striking the suspect.  He was taken to St. Nicholas Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2:20 a.m.  Domagalski told reporters the man has an extensive criminal record and was currently on supervision from a 1999 case.  He said the matter remains under investigation and the victim's name is being withheld pending notification of relatives.
