Bucks Win Third Straight

MILWAJKEE, WI (WHBL) - The Milwaukee Bucks have a three-game winning streak, after beating Sacramento 98-85 at home Wednesday night. The Bucks never trailed – and they put the game away with a 12-2 run late in the third quarter and early in the fourth. It put Milwaukee up by 15 at that point, and they scored 30 in the final 12 minutes. Both teams were short-handed. The Bucks were without Larry Sanders, Ekpe Udoh, Mike Dunleavy, and Beno Udrih – all with injuries or illnesses. The Kings were without their best player, center DeMarcus Cousins. He served a one-game suspension for hitting O-J Mayo of Dallas in the groin area on Monday night. And Kings’ forward Marcus Thornton sat out for personal reasons.  Brandon Jennings led the Bucks with 19 points.  Monta Ellis almost had a triple-double with 17 points, 11 assists, and eight rebounds. Ersan Ilyasova had a season-high 14 rebounds and 16 points.  Bucks’ forward Luc Richard Mbah a Moute had 17 in his first start of the season after knee surgery. And Drew Gooden had 10 rebounds in his first extended playing time of the year. The Bucks are now 11-9, with their best 20-game start in seven years. They’ll play at Cleveland tomorrow night.
