NEW RICHMOND, WI (WTAQ) - Several fund-raisers are being held in the New Richmond area to help the family of four-year-old killed by his father in a snow plow accident. 

Collin Fitzgerald was playing in a snow-fort at his home on Tuesday, when his father accidentally struck and killed him while plowing the driveway.

Derek Gilbert is took donations Friday afternoon at Hudson’s Riverfront Athletic Club. A meat raffle to benefit the family takes place tonight at the Boardman Bypass near New Richmond. Gilbert said a memorial fund is being set up at a local bank.

Gilbert is the president of Anchor Insurance in Hudson, and he said folks could send donations there – and they’ll be given directly to the Fitzgerald family.
