TV Tidbits: 'Gossip Girl' Gets a Finale, 'Common Law' Gets the Ax

By Shaunna Murphy, Hollywood.com Staff

Charlie Sheen Goes to Syndication: Cha-Ching! That's the sound Charlie Sheen hears every time he winks, breathes, eats, sleeps, or wakes up in the morning. Because not only is his former home Two and a Half Men going to make money until the end of time, but FX's Anger Management — which just got a whopping 90-episode order — just got a syndication deal with Fox Television Stations, who have picked up the sitcom for a September 2014 launch in a cash plus barter deal. Now that's nothing to be angry about. [Deadline]

Common Law Cancelled: EEK: A Halloween victim of the Fall TV Grim Reaper: USA has officially cancelled its struggling freshman drama Common Law, which stars Michael Ealy and Warren Kole as detectives that are forced to go into couples' therapy to help their partnership. [TVLine]

A Show for the Gods:It's like the Xena/Hercules era all over again! Fox has officially bought its second Greek mythology-based show for the upcoming season. Olympus, an action drama from writer-director Peter Berg (Friday Night Lights) and actor-writer Taylor Sheridan (Sons of Anarchy), will focus on a soldier-turned-spy who finds out he's a descendant of the Greek Gods. It sounds pretty similar to their other show, Athena, which focuses on a 23-year-old woman who finds out she's Athena. [Deadline]

Gossip Girl's Winter Goodbye: It's officially, Upper East Siders: Gossip Girl will come to an end on Dec. 17, in a two hour series finale event. The first hour will serve as a look back, and the second hour will be the final episode, "New York, I Love You XOXOX." There will also be a preview for The CW's upcoming Sex and the City prequel, The Carrie Diaries. (It's good). [TVLine]

Shaun White Goes to Therapy: Well, on TV at least. White will guest star on Matthew Perry's group therapy sitcom, Go On, as himself. Perry, a sportscaster, will interview the ginger haired Olympian, then fight him for a lady's affections. [TVLine]

The League gets some Glee: Is this bad news for Wemma fans? Jayma Mays, who plays the Type-A guidance counselor on Glee, has booked two episodes of FX's raunchy sports comedy, The League. She'll play an interior decorator, which is about all we know at this point. Think Emma is an NFL fan? [TVLine]
