Bucks Drop Below .500 With Loss To Knicks

MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) - The Milwaukee Bucks dropped below .500 at home Wednesday night, with a 102-88 loss to the New York Knicks at the B-M-O Harris Bradley Center. The Knicks went up by 10 at the half, and 22 in the third quarter to put the game away and improve to 10-4 on the season. Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks with 29 points. Former Marquette guard Steve Novak played a career-high 40 minutes on his old college floor. He scored 19, and hit five-of-seven shots from three-point range.  Bucks’ coach Scott Skiles said New York was allowed to move aggressively without much contact – and they had a much sharper game on offense than Milwaukee did. Skiles also said he would revisit his starting lineup before the Bucks’ next game Friday night at Minnesota. The Knicks only had slight edges in overall shooting and rebounding, but New York hit 52-percent beyond the arc, to Milwaukee’s 38. And the Bucks committed three more turnovers. Brandon Jennings and Beno Udrih each scored 18 for Milwaukee, which dropped to 3-4 at home and 7-6 overall. The Bucks have now lost four of five.
