Sheboygan Teens To Stand Trial In Falls Murder

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - The two Sheboygan teens charged with the gruesome murder of an elderly Sheboygan Falls woman will stand trial.  Two investigators testified, and said the teens - Antonio Barbeau and Nathan Paape -  told them they went to 78 year old Barbara Olson’s home in Sheboygan Falls and murdered her before taking her money, car keys, and car, and heading back to Sheboygan.  The detectives testified that the boys used the money to buy pizza and pot before they were arrested.  Following the testimony, Judge Timothy VanAkkeren ruled there was enough evidence for a trial.  The defense will try to move the case back to juvenile court, hoping that the sentences will be lesser.  District Attorney Joe DeCecco disagrees with the motion, saying that even though they look 13, you don't look at their ages - you look at what they did.  DeCecco says you are how you act, and these actions deserve adult court. A status hearing has been scheduled for November 2nd. There’s expected to be a hearing at a future date to move it back into juvenile court.
