WAUSAU, WI (WTAQ) - An 18 year old man who was responsible for putting Wausau West High School on lockdown because of threats to his girlfriend makes a court appearance Monday.
The Rothschild man is facing charges for making threats to injure, carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct among others.
Wausau West High School went on lockdown for about an hour last Friday when a female student reported she had received a threatening text message from the teenage suspect.
He was not a student at the school.
The girl notified a school administrator and Wausau police formed a perimeter around the school in less than a half-hour.
The suspect was caught carrying a loaded handgun nearby.
