Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood performed at the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame induction ceremony Sunday night in Nashville.  Garth sang "The Dance" for writer and inductee Tony Arata as well as "Papa Loved Mama" and "Three Wooden Crosses" for his co-writer and Hall of Fame honoree Kim Williams .

Trisha performed "The Wind Beneath My Wings" for writer Larry Henley 's induction.  Trisha also recognized new Hall of Fame member Mary Chapin Carpenter delivering her take on "He Thinks He'll Keep Her."

Taylor Swift was honored with her fifth Songwriter/Artist of the Year trophy from the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. She accepted the award with a pre-taped message from her current promotional tour in England.  Dolly Parton also clinched the Song of the Year award for "I Will Always Love You," which was featured heavily on radio and television following Whitney Houston 's death earlier this year.
