Jason Aldean is set to release his new album, Night Train , on Tuesday featuring his latest #1 hit "Take a Little Ride."  That means he's saying goodbye to the album that catapulted him to country superstar status, My Kinda Party .  That project has gone double platinum on the strength of the title track as well as the monster singles "Dirt Road Anthem" and "Don't You Wanna Stay" with Kelly Clarkson .

Jason's My Kinda Party tour is also wrapping up October 27 after playing to 1.9 million fans over the last few years.

"Obviously I think that record and this tour and just everything about this My Kinda Party ride has been not only a career changing thing, but a life-changing thing for me," Jason says.  "So, it'll always be a really, really special record for that reason -- the tour, everything about it."

Jason adds that My Kinda Party did more for his career than he ever imagined possible, but he's ready to move on to the new album, Night Train .

Says Jason, "Now, I feel like we got a great record to come behind that with and kind keep the train rolling."

Adjusting to the level of fame he's achieved since My Kinda Party came out has been a challenge at times.  Though he loves the perks of superstardom, like having an entire tour bus all to himself, Jason doesn't really get why his fans go so crazy over his music and live shows.

He says, "To me, it's like my mom says all the time, 'It's just you.  I don't know why they're so excited about you.'  You know, I'm like, 'Well, I appreciate that.'  But that's the thing.  That's kind of how I look at it."

Becoming a household name is something Jason's still getting used to, but he adds, "It's a learning experience I guess."
