UNDATED (WHBL) - A cold front sweeping out of the Rocky Mountains could bring severe thunderstorms to the Plains states today. Humid air reaching well into the Mississippi and Missouri valleys will increase the potential for damaging storm activity. Forecasters say the best chance for bad weather is between eastern Oklahoma and northeastern Iowa, but the chance exists for storms to pop up in Minnesota and Wisconsin as well. Meteorologists say super cells, including hail and possible tornadoes, could occur. If a squall line forms, high winds could cause damage. The Storm Prediction Center says the area from Austin, Texas, to Milwaukee has a slight risk of severe storms today.
