SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - The 26th Assembly debate was cut short Thursday night when Republican Mike Endsley reportedly became ill. The Sheboygan Press says that about an hour into the debate, Endsley told the 110 or so people in attendance at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center that he was having a hard time finishing, then left the stage. Moderator Rick Dodgson told the crowd that Endsley had been suffering flu symptoms most of the day, but didn’t want to cancel ahead of time. Officials from Lakeland College and the Sheboygan Press will try to reschedule the debate before the November 6th election. Endley is facing Democrat Mike Helmke for the 26th Assembly seat.
