MIAMI, FL (WHBL) - The Milwaukee Brewers are back to within three games of .500, after beating the Marlins in Miami Tuesday night 8-4. The Crew was trailing by a run in the seventh when Norichika Aoki tied the game with a double that scored pinch-hitter Nyjer Morgan from first. Rickie Weeks then singled, and Ryan Braun drove home the game-winner with an infield hit, a dribbler down the third base line. Jeff Bianchi gave Milwaukee its margin of victory in the eighth, when he belted a three-run homer to deep left – his second blast in three games. Aoki hit a two-run homer and drove in three on the night. Marlins’ right fielder Giancarlo Stanton opened the fourth inning with his 86th career homer, tying Jimmie Fox for the eighth-most homers by a player younger than 23. Shaun Marcum gave up four runs in five and two-thirds innings. Kameron Loe got the win in relief. He’s now 6-4. Marlins’ reliever Mike Dunn took the loss. The Brewers ended a three-game losing streak to the Marlins, and the Crew has now won 12 of its last 15. They remain seven and a half games back in the National League Wild Card race. Milwaukee and Miami will face each other again tonight in South Florida. Right-hander Wily Peralta will make his first big league start for the Brewers against right-hander Nathan Eovaldi.
