MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) - The Milwaukee Brewers scored all their runs in a seventh-inning rally Monday night, as they beat Atlanta 4-1 at Miller Park. Norichika Aoki had the game-winning hit - a two run double. It ended Milwaukee’s seven game losing streak to the Braves, and the Crew has now won 15 of its last 17 at home. The Brewers also gained a game in the Wild Card race, and they’re now five games back for the number two National League Wild Card now held by Saint Louis. Milwaukee only had four hits on the night – two by Aoki and two from Martin Maldonado. Atlanta churned out 10 hits, and a double-play grounder by Andrelton Simmons accounted for the Braves’ only run. Wily Peralta went six innings in his second Major League start. He gave up a run on seven hits with four strikeouts and a walk. Jose Veras got the win by pitching a scoreless seventh. He’s now 4-4. John Axford threw a perfect ninth for his 28th save. Jonny Venters took the loss in relief. Brewers’ first baseman Corey Hart sat out the game after hurting his left foot while running the bases on Sunday. He’s day-to-day. Ryan Braun returned after aggravating a bad wrist. He walked twice, but was 0 for 2 otherwise. The Brewers and Braves will play again tonight at Miller Park.
