Weeks Fuels Comeback Win For Brewers

MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) - Trailing 4-1 entering the fourth inning, the Milwaukee Brewers exploded for 5 runs and took the lead for good in a 9-6 win over New York Saturday night. The victory is the 19th in 25 games for the defending NL Central Division champions and keeps them in the running for a wild card. Rickie Weeks hit his 20th home run of the season to highlight the big rally. He also doubled, scored twice and had three runs batted in. Brandon Kintzler got credit for his second pitching victory.  Ike Davis hit his 27th home run in the ninth inning for the Mets, who lost for the ninth time in 11 games. Jenry Mejia took the loss. The win moves the Brewers to 2 1/2 games back of the Cardinals and Dodgers for the National League's second Wild Card spot, with the Pirates at two games back.  The Brewers and Mets wrap up their series this afternoon.  Coverage on WHBL begins at 12:35.
