MADISON, WI (WHBL) - Unemployment in the Sheboygan area increased slightly during the month of February. The latest report from the State Department of Workforce Development put the county rate at 7.7 percent - up from 7.3, while the rate for the city of Sheboygan was 9.3 percent - up from 9 percent. Both were slightly lower than last February. The statewide rate is also up slightly to 7.2 percent. As for the workforce, the report shows 57,600 people working in the Sheboygan area in February - 200 fewer than in January.
