Mitchell Airport worker pleads not guilty to threatening co-workers

MILWAUKEE (WTAQ) - An employee at Wisconsin’s largest airport has pleaded not guilty to disorderly conduct, after he allegedly threatened a pair of co-workers.

61-year-old Pedro Desir of Milwaukee appeared in court Tuesday on his misdemeanor charge.

Prosecutors said two people were working at a ticket counter at Milwaukee’s Mitchell International Airport, when they confronted Desir about playing table tennis on the job.

Authorities said Desir went to get a kitchen knife, which he waved to his co-workers. He reportedly said that if they were going to rat on him, “You are going to have to kill me.”

A surveillance camera videotaped the incident.

Desir is free on a signature bond. A trial date could be set at his next court appearance, which is set for April 23rd.
