Keith Urban hosts his fourth annual We're All for the Hall benefit concert Tuesday night in Nashville. Proceeds from the show benefit Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, and this year's concert promises to be the rowdiest yet thanks to the show's theme "Rebels & Renegades: The Outlaws Are In." Jason Aldean , Eric Church , Brantley Gilbert and Tim McGraw are among the stars on the bill, but Jason isn't sure he and Eric actually live up to that "renegade" title.
Jason tells ABC News Radio, "I guess I kinda get stuck with that a little bit sometimes. I don't know. I think just because my music, the way it is, just kinda having that little bit of an aggressive sound."
He adds, "I mean, Eric's the same way. I know Eric. He ain't an outlaw. He likes to have fun, but he ain't an outlaw. We're all just a bunch of partiers. We like to have fun, play music."
Brantley Gilbert absolutely loves being on the show with the "Rebels & Renegades" theme, but he's not sure how We're All for the Hall band leader Vince Gill fits into that outlaw theme.
"Alright, alright, Vince is an outlaw now. We can roll that way," Brantley tells ABC News Radio with a laugh. He says, "I'm a huge Vince Gill fan. That joker can play guitar, and his voice is just, I've never heard anything like it. It's a heck of a lineup, man. I'm just excited to be a part of it."
Other artists on the bill include Country Music Hall of Famers Loretta Lynn , Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson as well as Hank Williams, Jr ., Montgomery Gentry , Trace Adkins , Rosanne Cash , Kid Rock and more.
For Keith Urban, putting this show on year after year is a labor of love for the work the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum does to preserve the history of the genre. Keith was drawn to move around the world from Australia to Nashville because of that music.
Keith says, "I came here just to play music and I was inspired by music, and the history of this genre is right there. And as I’ve said before, I think if we’re going to keep pulling it forward, then we’ve got to know where it came from, and we know what we’re doing and why we’re doing it."
