KIEL, WI (WHBL) - Former Sheboygan Mayor Bob Ryan appeared Tuesday in Kiel Municipal Court on a charge of drunk driving. Ryan pleaded not guilty to the charge. Ryan, whose troubles with alcohol led to his recall as mayor just over a year ago, was arrested on March 3 after a Kiel police officer spotted him making a wide turn and weaving in his lane of traffic in the city of Kiel. Ryan was stopped around midnight and told officers he was on his way to his home at Cedar Lake after having 3 or 4 beers at three Kiel area taverns. No trial date has yet been set.
