MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - A bipartisan group of five Wisconsin lawmakers is expected to introduce a venture capital proposal Wednesday.
One of the sponsors says this one should be able to make it through the Legislature after two years of similar legislation facing only rejection.
Assembly Majority Leader Scott Suder and Joint Finance Committee co-chair Senator Alberta Darling are two of the most powerful legislators who support the idea. Though not a sponsor, a spokeswoman for Assembly Speaker Robin Vos says he supports it, too.
Some lawmakers say this bill contains safeguards which were missing in the past.
