WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WTAQ) - Wisconsin Rapids police say 32 year old Seth R. Furgasson used newspaper obituary listings to find empty homes to burglarize.
Police say they found someone had made several calls to a residence in the town of Howard, apparently to make sure no one was home – then broke in to steal possessions. They say that crime was similar to a string of burglaries in Shawano, Trempealeau, Portage and Dunn counties.
When police served a search warrant on Furgasson’s home, they found several items which had been stolen from homes.
Furgasson and 24 year old Cassandra Miller were arrested. He’s being held in the Chippewa County Jail. He has served time in the past on burglary convictions.
