Brewers Get Shut Out

LOS ANGELES, CA (WHBL) - Carl Crawford hit two home runs and Clayton Kershaw pitched eight innings of shutout baseball, as the Los Angeles Dodgers blanked the Brewers, 2-0, in the rubber match of a three-game series on Sunday.  Kershaw (3-2) had 12 strikeouts and allowed just four hits for the Dodgers. After giving up a leadoff double to Rickie Weeks in the second, he retired 18 batters in a row before Carlos Gomez doubled to start the eighth. Brandon League pitched a flawless ninth to notch his eighth save of the season. Kyle Lohse (1-2) got the start for the Brewers, who came into the game having won 10 of their last 12 games. The Brewers return to Miller Park tonight to begin a series with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Coverage on WHBL begins at 6:35.
