MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers wasted another dominant performance from Corbin Burnes in a 4-2 loss to the San Francisco Giants on Monday night at American Family Field.
Milwaukee was leading 1-0 in the 8th inning when Joc Pederson hit a two run homer off Trevor Gott. Then. after the Brewers tied the game at 2, Luis Gonzalez hit his first career homer off Jake Cousins in the top of the 9th inning.
Burnes worked 6 2/3 scoreless innings, giving up just two hits with 11 strikeouts.
The Brewer offense got a homer from Willy Adames that tied the game at 2 but otherwise managed just four singles in the game. Mike Brosseau had the other RBI.
Milwaukee is 10-7 on the year and will start a three-game series in Pittsburgh Tuesday night with pregame coverage on WHBL beginning at 5pm.
