SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Waupun prison inmate who could be facing six more years for threatening a Sheboygan County judge appeared in court Wednesday. 31 year old Jesse Williams waived a preliminary hearing. Meanwhile, Judge James Bolgert recused himself from the case and a new judge will be appointed.
Williams, who is serving time in prison, had sent a letter to Judge L. Edward Stengel, threatening to kill him and his family because of a sentence the judge had given him a couple of years ago.
As it turned out, court records indicate Stengel never sentenced Williams. He was sentenced by Manitowoc County Judge Patrick Willis.
