MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) - A Sheboygan man will spend over 10 years in prison for helping to transport over a thousand kilograms of marijuana and over five kilograms of cocaine to Wisconsin. The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Milwaukee announced Tuesday the sentence of 30 year old Randy Martinez.
According to court documents, Martinez was a vital part of the Balderas Organization drug trafficking activities in our area of the state. He was responsible for finding people who would either drive vehicles from Texas to Wisconsin that had marijuana and cocaine in them or receive packages in the mail filled with the illegal drugs and distributed in the state. Martinez also assisted the organization in laundering up to $500,000 for drug payments.
Martinez was arrested in May of 2012 and pled guilty to the charges against him.
