Two Rollovers within Minutes and a Couple of Miles of Each Other

TOWN OF RHINE, WI (WHBL) - Two crashes within minutes of each other and just a couple of miles apart in the town of Rhine Tuesday night sent three people to the hospital.   The Sheriff’s Department said the first call came in at 8:58 when a pickup truck driven by 43 year old Timothy Schaetzer, of Plymouth, left Garton Road and rolled onto the driver side.  Lt. Jason Liermann said Schaetzer had to be freed from the wreckage and was flown to Theda Clark in Neenah with serious injuries.  He was also cited for drunk driving.  Liermann said moments later there was a call to Snake Road, where an SUV driven by 16 year old Stuart Zelle, of Elkhart Lake, left the road and rolled several times.  Zelle and his passenger, 16 year old Sarah Thomas, also of Elkhart Lake, were taken by ambulance to Sheboygan Memorial Hospital.  He had non-life threatening injuries, while Thomas’s were more serious.
