SEATTLE, WA (WHBL) - The Wisconsin volleyball team’s improbable season has come to an end, falling to second-ranked Penn State in the National Championship Saturday night. The Badgers dropped the first two sets (19-25, 24-26) before picking up the third (25-20). Things were close in the fourth set, but the Nittany Lions scored a flurry of points to take the match and the title. Dominique Thompson led the Badgers with 18 points and 16 kills, Deme Morales added another 16 points and 15 kills in the loss. Wisconsin finished the season with a 28-10 record.
