MADISON, WI (WSAU) - The Boys and Girls Clubs in Wisconsin will benefit from the upcoming state budget. Governor Scott Walker says he is allocating 2.3 million dollars from the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families block grant program. These funds will support programs that improve social, academic, and employment skills of low-income youth. It’s called the Wisconsin After Three Initiative,and offers intensive tutoring in math and English, plus exposes young people to career options with help from role models in the organization.
