WASHINGTON, D.C. (WSAU) - Congressman Sean Duffy was appointed to the House Budget Committee Friday. The 7th District Congressman already serves as a member of the House Financial Services and Joint Economic committees.
In accepting the appointment, Duffy says, “I appreciate this opportunity and look forward to working closely with Chairman Ryan and the rest of my colleagues on the committee on proposals to pay down our debt and pass balanced budgets,” Duffy says, “This a tremendous chance to work on the critical fiscal issues facing our nation and I can’t wait to get started.”
Chairman and fellow Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan says, “Congressman Duffy is an important addition to the House Budget Committee,” and looks forward to working with him. Ryan believes Duffy will bring a fresh perspective to the critical issues facing the country because,”He knows that if we tackle this debt problem, we can grow the economy and expand opportunity.”
