SHEBOYGAN, Wis.(WHBL) - A Sheboygan man has been formally charged in connection with a weekend stabbing which occurred in the city of Sheboygan.  51 year old David Orvis was charged Monday with aggravated battery for stabbing his roommate, 42 year old Ronald Hulbert.  According to the criminal complaint, if Sheboygan police officers hadn’t found Hulbert lying in the bushes outside of Starbucks at 14th and Erie about 11:30 Friday night he would have died.  He was flown to Froedert in Milwaukee with a punctured spleen and lacerated lung.  Authorities said he and Orvis had allegedly gotten into a fight in their apartment in the 1400 block of Erie Avenue when Orvis allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and plunged it into Hulbert’s back.  Orvis was arrested at the scene and is now facing up to 21 years in prison.
