Randy Houser is having a blast on his latest hit, "How Country Feels," and he promises fans more of that good-time vibe on his full-length album of the same name. The new set is now in stores, and Randy credits his wife Jessa and their baby boy West for putting him in a great mood these days.
"I mean, that's kind of where my life is right now. I didn't want to make a 'Debbie Downer' record," Randy tells ABC News Radio.
He adds, "I think making music reflects where you are as a person, and this album is a happy, fun record for a reason."
While Randy has delivered hard-core country sounds on his previous releases, How Country Feels finds him making music aimed at today's country music fans.
Says Randy, "I think it's probably the most modern, hip thing I've ever done as far as music. I think it's still country 'cause I am. It's just a good time waiting to be had. "
In addition to the title cut, How Country Feels includes a duet with Kristy Lee Cook on "Wherever Love Goes." Randy also co-wrote the track "Along for the Ride" with Zac Brown .
