The Milwaukee Brewers are bringing shortstop Alex Gonzalez back, reportedly agreeing to a one year contract for one and a half million dollars. Incentives could earn the veteran infielder another million dollars. Gonzalez was a free agent acquisition last season but played in only 24 games before a knee injury ended his season in May. Gonzalez hit .259 with four home runs and 15 runs batted in before the injury. He'll likely be a backup to Jean Segura who took over the shortstop duties after getting acquired in the Zack Greinke trade with the Angels.
