SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) -MILESTONES Adult Family Home, a not-for-profitcompletely ADA accessible home for four adults with significant developmental disabilities and possible complex medical conditions, celebrated its grand opening with a Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting on Tuesday, July 9th.
MILESTONES, located at 7312 Schircel Rd. in Sheboygan, broke ground in October 2012 and completed construction in June 2013. Director Kelly Jordan, a registered nurse and mother of a son with disabilities, felt there was an unmet need incare for young adults with disabilities and worked over the past year with the board of directors to make her vision a reality. The home has a warm water swimming pool, bedrooms, bathrooms, a kitchen/dining area, a calm area and a screened front porch, as well as care provided by fully-trained medical personnel.
