SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Sheboygan woman has been charged for allegedly striking a bicyclist at the intersection of Broughton Drive and Niagara Avenue early Thursday morning. 43-year-old Tracy Schlenther made her initial appearance in Sheboygan County Court Friday for charges of OWI and hit and run causing injury.
According to a criminal complaint, Schlenther allegedly struck 24-year-old Andrew Russman while he was on his bike turning at the intersection, causing him to injure his left elbow. Authorities would find her a short time later at her residence, and found her to have a blood alcohol level of .289.
Online court records show Schlenther remains in custody on a $3,000 cash bond.
