GREEN BAY, WI (WHBL) - Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers wants to focus on the upcoming season, but not before clearing the air about his friend, suspended Milwaukee Brewers slugger Ryan Braun. During the first day of training camp Friday, Rodgers says he was disappointed Braun lied to him, saying he trusted him - and that hurt the most. Rodgers, though, says he believes in forgiveness and moving forward.
As far as day one of camp goes, cornerbacks Casey Hayward (hamstring) and Davon House (illness) missed the practice with injuries, which put Sam Shields at the starter spot. The running backs are also the focus of attention with steady work from rookies Eddie Lacy and Johnathan Franklin along with Alex Green, James Starks and Angelo Pease. The Packers will hold a no-pads today and go full pads on Sunday.
