Rockies 6, Brewers 5

DENVER, CO (WHBL) - The Milwaukee Brewers blew a one run lead in the eighth inning Sunday and lost at Colorado 6-5. Troy Tulowitski led off the eighth with a double. Michael Cuddyer  then tied the game with a double. He went to third base on a wild pitch, and Nolen Arenado drove Cuddyer home with a game-winning single.  John Axford gave up all three hits and both runs as he took the loss. Axford is now 4-4.  Matt Belisle got the win in relief.  Brewers’ starter Donovan Hand went six innings for his longest start of the season. He gave up three runs – all solo homers to Tulowitzki, Dexter Fowler, and Corey Dickerson.  Norichika Aoki and Yuniesky Betancourt homered for Milwaukee, which lost 2 of 3 in Denver and 4 of 6 in their season series against the Rockies. The Brewers open a four-game series in Chicago tonight against the Cubs. Right-hander Kyle Lohse will start for the Crew against Cubs’ right-hander Jeff Samardzjia.  Pregame coverage on WHBL begins at 6:30.
