SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Sheboygan woman has been formally charged in connection with the stabbing of her live-in boyfriend on Saturday in an apartment on Erie Avenue. 25 year old Emily Check was charged Monday with reckless endangerment and false imprisonment. Authorities said she and her boyfriend had been arguing for days and it culminated in her stabbing him in the chest with a kitchen knife. The victim told police that Check grabbed the knife and would not allow him to leave the apartment. When he tried to get past her, she allegedly stabbed him then drove him to the hospital where she dropped him off. He received four stitches to close the wound and then was released. Check is facing up to 16 years in prison if convicted.
