MANITOWOC, WI - (WHBL) Former Sheboygan Mayor Bob Ryan reached a plea deal with Manitowoc County prosecutors recently regarding a drunk driving incident earlier this year. According to court records, the deal had Ryan plead guilty to one charge of driving while drunk, and will result in the revocation of his license for eight months, use of an ignition interlock for 12 months, and a fine of 801-dollars.
Ryan was stopped by Kiel Police back just after midnight on March 3 when an officer noticed him taking a wide turn and crossing the center line. Ryan admitted to have consumed several beers at area taverns. Law enforcement found his blood alcohol level to be about three times the legal limit.
Ryan has a past history of alcohol abuse, which cost him his position of Sheboygan mayor when citizens recalled him last year.
