Taylor Swift has come a long way since she released her debut single, "Tim McGraw," in 2006, but the friendship she forged with the real Tim McGraw and his wife, Faith Hill , because of that song continues to this day.
Says Taylor, "Tim and Faith have both been some of the most supportive, encouraging people in my career."
Tim has now gone from being a hero and friend to Taylor to being her duet partner on the #1 country hit, "Highway Don't Care." Keith Urban plays guitar on the track too, and Taylor says the collaboration has been a "beautiful, magical process."
Taylor goes on to call Keith one of her favorite musicians and songwriters, and it's still a thrill for her to share the stage with them at events like last week's CMA Music Festival in Nashville.
"[It's] just very hard to explain the level of excitement that I feel when I get to collaborate with people I admire so much," Taylor says.
Taylor, Tim and Keith's performance of "Highway Don't Care" will most likely end up on the CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock special, airing Monday, August 12 on ABC.
