SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Chicago man who is in prison for dealing cocaine in the city of Sheboygan after police installed a GPS device on his rented car has lost his appeal. 38 year old Gregory Copeland was arrested in March of 2011. Authorities said he was making weekly trips from Chicago, bringing in cocaine to be distributed to different drug houses in the city. Copeland was sentenced last May to 4 years in prison. He had appealed on the grounds that installation of the GPS amounted to unlawful search and was unconstitutional. The 2nd District Court of Appeals disagreed and handed down a decision Thursday affirming his conviction.
